Projects

We have engaged in several projects in five nations to provide wheelchairs, education scholarships and advocacy through media and community outreach. The 2015 – 19 projects have been challenging to deliver but we have seen fruitful results all around. We are very excited that 100 brand new wheelchairs specially designed for the terrain of kenya will be dispatched.

Nepal

Children living with Cerebral Palsy were prescribed suitable wheelchairs, thanks to the generous donations from a charitable organization. This initiative supported Green Pastures Hospital, which focused on rehabilitating disabled children and adults.

Malawi

Wheelchairs were donated, enabling recipients to access education. Education scholarships were also provided, along with famine relief for families with severely disabled children. Additionally, there is an ongoing effort to partner with Chansa University to develop an inclusive rehabilitation center that will serve the entire country.

Kenya

We remain committed to creating lasting change in the lives of people with disabilities and marginalized communities through advocacy, empowerment, and practical support. In July 2025, our founder Ann Wafula Strike personally delivered basketball kits to a team in the Kenya Wheelchair Basketball Federation, joining them in a friendly match alongside our partners from Hadima Africa. This initiative not only supported adaptive sports but also fostered inclusion and empowerment. In 2024, in partnership with Cianna Merchants Limited, we donated a range of beauty and haircare products to disadvantaged individuals — particularly small-scale salon and cosmetics shop owners — to help them sustain their livelihoods and grow their businesses. We continue to work closely with Hadima Africa, focusing on mental health awareness and empowerment programs across marginalized communities in Kenya. Through workshops and outreach, we’re building safe spaces for healing and resilience.

We've successfully delivered wheelchairs to communities in Kenya, with generous logistical support from Jane Mukabi of Royale Hotel, Karen, and Global Hand UK. These efforts were made possible by the support of Airlink, who facilitated the travel of two volunteers to help distribute the equipment. Our gratitude also goes to Kenya Airways, who enabled one of our fundraisers, Ms. Evelyn Devere Bourne, to deliver essential physiotherapy equipment to Thika School for the Physically Challenged — a school we continue to engage with through advocacy and community visits.

Educate a Child, Inspire a Nation

Whilst some take education for granted, children in most developing countries aren’t always so fortunate. Resources are scarce in many villages and parents can’t afford to pay for school fees, books and uniforms. More so the challenge is greator and frustrating for parents with children living with disabilities.

By choosing to sponsor a child, you’ll not only be helping improve the life of an individual, you will also be putting them in a position where they can help others by enhancing future prospects for their entire communities.

With your help, it is possible to make a meaningful difference to the lives of many people by creating a legacy to inspire future generations. You’ll also receive regular updates by letters, photos and school reports to show how you’re helping to create a brighter future by empowering others through your support.
